Finding multiple organisations at once

If you want to find information on a number of different organisations or services at once, enter their names separated by a / (forward slash).

For example:

Carer Payment / Carer Allowance

Telephone Allowance / Heating Allowance

Advocacy Tasmania / Hobart Community Legal Service / Launceston Community Legal Centre

Abilympics / TASRAD

The forward slash is understood by the search software to mean OR Thus, the last example, reads as: "find any organisation called 'Abilympics' OR any organisation called 'TASRAD'".

Search Hints

You can type (or paste) the whole name for an organisation or service. For example:

Living with Memory Loss Support Group
Memory Loss Support Group

Note: It is important to remember that if you type in a list of words together, as in the above examples, then an exact match is what will be look for: all the words, in exactly the same order. You need to be sure what you are looking for if you do this.

Alternatively, you can ask for individual words that occur in the name:

loss & memory & living

Separating each individual word with the & (ampersand) tells the search software to find any organisation with the word "memory", AND the word "loss", AND the word "living" in its name. They all have to be there, but it does not matter which order they are in. If you are not exactly sure about an organisation's name, this can be a very useful way to find it.
